Samsung had sometimes struggled to match up against Chinese brands like Xiaomi and Realme when delivering value for money budget smartphones. But is this the case for its latest True Wireless Buds?
At the Unpacked event on 14 Januaray 2021, Samsung had just announced both the Galaxy Buds Pro wireless headset, and it comes with a few upgrades over its predecessor.
These added features are:
• Active Noise-cancelling to block out unwanted noise from the surrounding.
• Ambient Sound to hear what matter most without removing the headset.
• ANC voice control to turn off when you speak.

Expect to pay $248 Singapore dollars when it goes on sale, with Phantom Violet, Black, and Silver on offer. Nevertheless, it`s still worth the upgrade as the Buds Pro is a much better note-worthy upgrade compare to Buds Live and Buds Plus.
Thankfully, Samsung had turned to Active Noise-cancellation to block out 99 percent of the environment voice. Both the internal and external Microphones act as a live monitoring system to prevent outside noise by tuning up when in a train while still lowering the bass and treble in a library, meaning it automatically adjusts the music to suit the environment.
Other noteworthy features include a very professional headphone quality sound technology called Dolby Head Tracking. On top of that, the motion-tracking sensor redirects the sound to your ear while you are moving. It's like sitting in the middle of an entertainment surround sound system playing your favourite music from Spotify without you realizing you`re actually putting on a Buds Pro!
While connected to your smartphone, you’re also be getting Google Assistant 2.0 namely Bixby. Go ahead and give a command to make a voice call, switch songs or even activate ANC and Ambient Mode without having to navigate and touch the phone screen.
What ANC does is that it completely prevents unwanted noise from affecting your listening pleasure, while Ambient sound lets you tune down the volume to let you speak or listening to a conversation. Both can be achieved automatically utilizing Voice Detect. Thanks to the combination of ANC and Ambient mode, no more hassle of removing your Galaxy Buds Pro from your ear every time you want to talk to someone.
The Galaxy Buds Pro had take Noise-free calls to the next level by having not one, but three build-in microphones to do the job. Coupled with its low protrusion design to cut down wind noise during calls, you can now speak clearly even in a windy environment.
To prevent call interruption while watching a movie with your Galaxy Buds Pro, Samsung had utilized Auto Switch mode to shift its connection to another device, say a phone or tablet. After you hang up, the Buds Pro will reconnect back to your device seamlessly without switching your Bluetooth on and off on your screen menu.
Say hello, not goodbye to your earbuds from now onwards. Simply use SmartThings apps to trace where your Buds Pro is, once detected it will emit multiple beep sound so that you could easily find it even it is hidden under your sofa or bedroom.
Share your favorite Spotify tune with your best friend; Buds Together allows you to pair two sets of Buds Pro on the same device at the same time so that you could share the same high-quality sound with your buddy. This feature is especially great for band members recording in a studio, or singing a duet in a Karaoke session.
Why stuck with dull white colour when you have three prominent colors to choose from; Phantom Silver, Phantom Violet and Phantom Black. The glossy finishing Buds Pro stand out while matching your style. Not to forget it come with a matching charging casing too.
With the ANC switch off Galaxy Buds Pro alongside its charging case lets you enjoy a whopping 28 hour of combined playback time. When ANC is on, you can still expect 18 hours, a decent number considering most of the Wireless headset only allow up to 10 hours in total. Whether you`re running an errand all day using voice and video calls, or playing your favorite tune, the Galaxy Buds Pro have all the power combine to last you throughout the day. And with it`s time to top up the fuel, 25 minutes it only takes to charge full 100% capacity.
